Aly Beck has presented a character for whom autism is not a problem but a way of life that she is proud of. Her problems have been represented in the book and have not been sidelined later in the plot, which happens in many books where the diagnosis becomes a footnote mentioned in passing at any point in a book. The antagonists’ motives are yet to be revealed, but this series brings a lot of newness to the genre itself for me because I have not read this in a book before.Īnother plus was Kaycee being on the autism spectrum. One of the best inclusions I liked in the book is that the revenge in the book is not targeted toward the protagonists. In fact, all the guys in Kaycee’s harem had some major changes in their lives that are part of the plot development of the series.
